Empirical evidence is presented for a relation between the integration regimes that countries have adopted on the one hand, and public immigration attitudes. Inhabitants of countries with exclusive immigration policies perceive immigrants more frequently as a threat to certain prerogatives such as cultural and economic goods. Between countries of the other two latent classes, no significant differences were detected.
