In yet another validation of Portugal’s exemplary treatment of immigrants living and working in the country, an annual study conducted by the British Council and the Migration Policy Group, has found that Portugal only lags behind Sweden with regards to its immigration policy...
But despite Portugal’s positive conduct the study shows that great disparities still exist in how Europe is integrating its 20 million immigrants legally residing in the region.
The Migrant Integration Policy Index contrasts and compares integration policies across 31 countries in Europe and North America.
Results show that while change is happening at a very slow pace, there are still many obstacles to how immigrants live, work and participate in our societies...
