Ireland, having long been a country of net emigration, became a country of net immigration during the boom years. You can see it clearly in areas such as Dublin 15 where there is a large migrant population, many of them naturalised Irish citizens. But what has been done by our lazy, or negligent, authorities to embrace and help integrate these New Irish - some of whom do not have adequate English - in the field of education?
