The Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) has been evaluated for the period of 2010 to mid-2011, known as MIPEX III.
The evaluation concludes that overall, MIPEX is very well regarded internationally for three reasons:
- It is a scientifically robust peer reviewed tool with a consistent track record established over a number of years
- The quality of its outreach and communications has led to effective advocacy and training
- The excellence of staff engaged in this project at the British Council and at the Migration Policy Group has enabled a relatively seamless interface between the two disparate strands of work.
The evaluation was conducted in two parts:
Part I is a quantitative analysis of MIPEX's online and offline reach.
Part II is a qualitative assessment conducted by an external evaluator via 37 confidential interviews with key policy actors and partners in the field of migrant integration.
