Research in this work package is concerned with aggregate data on the rights of immigrants (the legal and policy situation). A country report for each of the countries covered will present information on the legal states of immigrants, and changes in the legal status over time. To some extent this work package draws on the Migrant Integration Policy Index Project (MIPEX), but new data will be collected to extend the period covered further back in time. This work package describes the extent to which immigrants are legally allowed to fully participate socially and politically in the respective countries. Work on this package is now completed.
