A strong message coming out of the seminar - based on the results of the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) research - was that we should be worried about the fact that rights are becoming increasingly conditional, for instance, on successfully passing tests (“weakening of the right to have rights”). An erosion, or a risk of erosion, of standards in this respect can already be noted. In this context, international standards acquire even more importance.
