Austria RAXEN network uses MIPEX to describe country's anti-discrimination laws

The findings of the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX)2 describe the situation with regard to the anti-discrimination legislation in Austria very well. The definitions and concepts were rated as “best practice” if nationality discrimination were prohibited. However, equality policies were rated as “unfavourable” referring to the missing possibility for equality bodies to take cases to court and Austria’s failure to disseminate information, lead dialogue, introduce positive action easures or oblige public bodies to promote equality.
